NIGERIA-BIAFRA SAGA by GODWIN AKWUOB

I want to totally condemn the approach with which the so called IPOB leader is using in trying to achieve biafra. If Biafra will be achieved then it won,t be by this present IPOB leader. I have seen him speak and act and i must say that his approach is very venomous, spiteful and malicious, and this can only instigate violence, which could lead to civil war.

It is quite awful that the supporters of this movement are young people whom are unemployed and are looking for what to do. It is appalling that the agitators of this movement are youths whom are born in the peaceful age hence, have never experienced war, they have not experienced kwashiorkor, total starvation, complete restriction and lost of freedom, fear of death, people dying like flies and destruction everywhere. Ask late Chinua Achebe and Ojukwu, they will tell you more.

With the approach of these agitators, they are only making a jest of Igbo nation; one of the wisest ethic group that ever lived in the face of the earth. Igbos are bigger than this!

This approach must stop, the IPOB leader must be stopped before he leads thousands of unemployed youths to untimely destruction and set the Igbo nation ablaze.

Recently, troops of diverse ethnicity has been deployed to south east and will patrol from 15th September to 14th Oct. and you know what it means when army troops with armored cars are sent to a region; (abuse, molestation etc). There is now panic in the southeast.
I therefore say that this young man's approach has to be stopped with his youthful exuberance.

NB: Biafra cannot be realized by insulting everyone in Nigeria and paying visits to some unemployed youths in some towns.

Here is my own little way through which we may realize Biafra:

Biafra, I must say has not reached her fruition stage ie Biafra is not yet due to become a nation. If we try secession without good strategies, every one person involved will suffer the enormous consequences.

1.Igbos must first and foremost unit in peace.

2. Together we all will need to get back to the drawing table.

3.we need to get to the drawing board; this is where new Biafra will be drawn.

4. Following this drawing, strategies and plans will be employed; Development of the potential Biafra nation will commence, putting things in place and construction of necessary infrastructures that can earn us revenue.

5. With good plans and strategies, individuals in Biafra nation are strategically placed in different sectors like Nigeria Government, force, economy etc.

This might take 20 to 30 years but if we can judiciously do these things above, We will realize Biafra diplomatically and in a civilized manner.
