Technology has done more harm than Good to our Generation. Mostly in Nigeria, Where an Individual Is likely to take a Picture of a crime scene rather than helping out, a Generation where people lives a fake and hidden Lives in Facebook just to feel belong or to intimate their friends, Selfie has been the Order of the Day and Gossips has been at it Rise, Social Crisis keep increasing and no solution is been Provided for it.
I don't understand this generation anymore. It is a generation of pictures. You are pregnant, you take pictures and post on social media. You give birth, you post pictures. Naming ceremony, more pictures. You register your child in school, pictures. Graduation, pictures. You're employed, you come on social media to celebrate by posting pictures. They robbed your house, you post pictures of how they broke and scattered the house. The ones who robbed you are also looking at you on social media and laughing at your foolishness. You buy a car, you post pictures. You build a house, pictures. Any little issue in your family, we must know on social media. When accident happens, instead of you to help the victims, you are looking for a way to take pictures, so that you can prove to the world that you were at the scene when it happened. The need to prove ourselves to the society has taken our senses away.
Social media has washed away our intelligence. We now act like animals without understanding, who can't reason in a positive direction. Sad! So sad. We take pictures for everything. We care less about what happens to our neighbours. They can die. We are not concerned. We will have something to post. Pathetic! A generation without reason. It is not a bad thing to take pictures and post on social media. But when the desire to entertain on social media is greater than the desire to empathize, there is a problem. It is madness when others are suffering and you are only thinking about taking pictures to upload on social media.
